All that you are

SPRING FORTH

You are an immortal spiritual being.

Your experience extends well beyond a single lifetime.

And your capabilities are unlimited, even if not presently realized.

Furthermore, man is basically good.

He is seeking to survive.

And his survival depends upon himself and his fellows and his attainment of brotherhood with the universe.

SALT

When I went to this place I saw the salt, I saw what happens to the land when we don’t think about the environment enought.

The people who did this were hungry and cold, they used chains to pull the trees out of the sand, the government told them to do it this way.

When I went to this place I did not know what to expect, I saw woodlands that were overcome by a new type of dominant ecosystem.

Sampire ecosystems and pink lakes, it was very windy, the Fremantle Doctor blows a long way, and when he doesn’t the Albany Doctor is often on duty.

This place was arid, some parts were like a kind of desert, others still held the Western Woodlands with wandoo and salmon gums, islands in the paddocks amongs the sheep and wheat. It was so undulating and so open, sometimes of the year the fields were yellow with the blossom of canola, so green before that, and then suddenly they were brown again.

Some fields untouched were massed in pinks and blues, yellows and whites, everlastingly imprinted into my mind these fields of daisies and in contrast hard prickly plants.

There were many endangered species such as the Carnaby’s Black Cockatoo, and the Chudditch. I was experiencing plants and animals that most people will never see in their lives, one day they might be extinct but for now they were here with me.

The new ecosystem was not that different from one that was there before, once there was an inland ocean, again now there is salt.

There is still beauty within the salt, there is still life and form, there are wattles, cowslip orchids,  magnificent eruptions through sandy loams and beautiful plants called cats paw, hakeas, grevillias, dryandras, gastrolobum, and so many other orchids in everycolour with names like ballerina and fairy.

Salt is a place on Earth which is called a biodiversity hotspot. It is that special.

From the outside looking in and to an untrained eye, all you see is destruction, but within salt there is a culmative forming of species, things you will see only here, and that is why underneath her shattered veil if you take the time to look you can see a stark naked beauty.

I was so lucky to see such beautiful salt.

I was so sent by the ominous presence into a place of catastrope and open desirous fields, to see that nothing is ever really lost, that something will always replace the things we think we know, and allow us realise that we live in such an opportune country, wide, vast, expansive, island of aridity with thin veil streams of coast, surrounded by many oceans, straights and seas.

No thing is ever lost, there is a reason for every thing that happens, there is always causative action taking place, keeping the physical reactions emmitting vibrations to produce changes.

It is up to the individual to experience this how they choose from what they see, feel and live as an experience. The dominant environment can always be changed.

SALT

I learnt that everything dies, nothing is always dominant.

From everything that is change, evolves a new system.

What one person sees as loss, another sees as hope and cause.

What happened here happens everywhere, in one way or another.

Form is all that we have, each one of us, is just a grain of salt.

River of Life

I’m sitting in the library writing this today. It is a wonderful building that has expanded since I was last a TAFE student. It is pretty cold in here though because there is a good deal of high tech machinery that lives in here.

We don’t have any digital media classes for the next four weeks on a Tuesday, and there is just one more week before the Easter Holidays begin, I am meant to be working on my Spreedsheets for Excel, doing MYOB and working on my Webpage.

Instead I have spent all morning lost in a New Media experience or more like fifty of them. I have been viewing subliminal movies using digital technologies to empower self. It is really amazing what humans are doing with this new era of knowledge and mind expansion with the power of social media bases like utube behind the movement, as we move further away from paper sources for our learning we are getting our messages from visual, subliminal, conscious, sound, all while looking around the room we are sitting in at the same time. For me this morning, funnily enough, at a room filled with books.

Last night I looked at the timeline since the eighties of where we have travelled with computer technologies to get to the point we are at now. The eighties was the point of realisation of what the future was going to give to people on a very personal technological level, there must have been some very visionary people within that ideology. It was a view of the modern to the postmodern and the entry of neo liberal globalisation into this postmodern world. I think in terms of art at this point and it is very easy to bring this over to the mix, and from there see what New Media is and how powerful and converse a tool it is for any organisation or business, and for use in our personal lives. IT is impowering in itself. Then, from the personal computer, in this new era of postmodernism, we can see how technology evolved into a sharing concept which is where we are at today.

This constitutes my New Media experience this morning, where New Age meets New Media in a powerful medium to spread an inherant message of yes, you can do, yes you get to choose, likewise I have seen similar used to spread the word of God. Therefore, as a New Age concept, if the river of life is Source, then the rivers of technology streaming in live are a multiple Powersource to facilitate life in this postmodern world. There is multiple revelations in this itself.

What New Media does, is allow us to see an ever expanding source, that allows us to create an informed society that can choose what it wishes to concieve as reality by exercising self  control within choice. We can choose what we look at rather than have images and issues thrust onto us, we can look up what we want and most critically we can do this when we want. We are given the ulimate in free choice. The only limits for some people are what we can afford in financial terms, but the great thing is the more availability that comes into the market the more people have, again, choices as to what they can view and do. Wanting something enough makes people go search for what they need and desire.

So, I’m asking myself today, with purpose:

  • What do I want?
  • What do I desire?
  • What do I need to feel completely happy?

While sourced from the New Age these questions also relate to our projects for IT tools for New Media.  The project is to make a Webpage, starting by using a storybook, and I think the three questions above will be tantamount to making any Webpage a good one.

Field Trip to the Cathedral

Depth of Field is shown in this picture, taken with the Canon, EOS Rebel T3 or better known in Australia as the EOS 1100D. This picture is a view of the inside of the Grafton Anglican Cathedral which is of historical significance, and is a beautiful example of leadlight and architectural design.
